The Thursday Men’s Lunch Forum will resume in the Fall after Labor Day.

Come join us as we reflect on the fundamentals of Christian theology, that we might be better equipped to understand, and rightfully live, the Christian life God calls us to as men in our families, in his church, and in society.

The Men’s Forum: On Faith & Life , is designed to ground men in Christ, the Head of the Body, in a systematic and complete way.

There are three goals:

(1)    Immediate:  To “gather the sheep” – Men’s Forum as a gathering place for men of the Church, and a gateway for outsiders – friends, colleagues, family.

(2)    Long term:  To raise up vocations to service of the gospel and the church – evangelist, teacher and catechist, administration, outreach.

(3)    General:  Growth toward Christian maturity, in the Body of Christ, in the likeness of Christ.  To grow up  “unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ” … “into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ” (Ephesians 4).

YOU are invited to join us every Thursday at NOON for LUNCH AND MEN’S FORUM to enjoy fellowship, food and Christian study. Forum ends promptly at 1:00. Non-parishioners are welcome.

Come and bring a friend!

Welcome to St John’s.

The Men of St. John’s Church unite the gentlemen of the church in a program of worship, study, service, and fellowship in order to deepen and strengthen their spiritual lives and enhance the service for the church and the parish, the community, the diocese, the nation, and the world. All male members of the church are considered to be members of the Men’s Club.

Two major fellowship and fundraising events are held each year, a very popular oyster roast held in January of the year and a hot dog sale during the St. Patrick’s Day parade celebration. The men of the church also provide lay readers for morning and evening prayer, sponsor several events including evensongs, parish picnics, parish suppers, as well as providing ushers throughout the year.

An opportunity exists for men of all ages to participate and support the parish. Please contact either the Rector or one of the executive board members of the Men’s Club to learn what opportunity is best for you.
